While you may think your irrigation system is working just fine, when was the last time you actually saw it running? Most people water their lawn very early in the morning and only check it out if there are clear signs of something being amiss. Through smart irrigation technology, your irrigation system won’t run when conditions aren’t optimal. For example, if it’s currently raining or has recently rained, your smart rain sensor will communicate this to the smart controller and the system won’t run during its normally programmed schedule. Additionally, the durations that each zone in your system runs will be adjusted due to current and historical weather data. This makes all the difference in the world, as it ensures your lawn only receives the perfect amount of irrigation and not a drop more.
Smart irrigation systems are, by design, autonomous. They make the calculations given the data that’s present and set your watering schedule accordingly. However, with a flowmeter installed, we will actually be alerted when your system is showing any signs of issues with pressure. This could be due to a line leak or even a broken sprinkler head.
