Our Roots: A Family-Owned Columbus Business

AK Irrigation was formed in 2006 by Aaron Knepp, who had 15 years of experience servicing and installing lawn irrigation systems, and Lee Hanson Knepp, who had nearly 10 years of experience in customer service and marketing.

Not yet married, but already anticipating a future together, we pooled our resources and formed a company. We dreamed big, but started small. Lee handled the paperwork (the office was the kitchen counter), and Aaron ran service in the now familiar black pick-up.

Our Journey: From Marriage to Market Leaders

We married in 2007, just as the business was really starting to take off. We live in Westerville, Ohio with our five fantastic kids:
Brock, Connor, Parker, Taylor, and Decker.

Our family has grown nearly as fast as the business.
We started with one customer.
Today, we service over 2,500 residential and commercial accounts.
